Swanzetta Smith

Swanzetta was born in the richly multicultural city of Los Angeles, California, were she began her artistic and creative passion in singing and dancing. One of her most memorable performances in high school was reenacting Michael Jackson’s Thriller, where ghoulish makeup, grave-rotted costumes, fantastic dancing, and the haunting effects of dry ice, made the performance an instant showstopper. Performing in community talent shows and local plays, she has shared and enjoyed the stage with many talented singers and thespians.

She began her journey on the joys and fascination of writing in 1996, completing her first novel, Private Passions, a romantic suspense, shortly thereafter. She attributes her passion for writing to her sister who gave her her first romance novel. That romance led to another and then another. And before long, she became hooked, eventually inspiring her to craft her own stories. Since then, she has penned three contemporary romance novels. She attempts to create compelling characters with a unique voice and perspective of storytelling that she hopes will captivate and entertain readers.

When Swanzetta isn’t writing, she loves reading, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, engaging in outdoor activities, and, yes watching a good adventure, suspenseful thriller, and her all time favorite, romantic comedies. She holds a degree in Information Technology working within the educational system. She also owns and operates a small business in her spare, spare time. A member of RWA, she resides in Moreno Valley, California, with her family.
